Four designs that will give your event the WOW factor

So, you’re hosting an event. The basics are probably what come to mind – select a date, book a venue, pick a menu, choose a bar package, contemplate music, and you’re off to the races. All of the above certainly contribute to a successful celebration, in a mandatory sort of way. But, what if you flipped the script on the everyday party planning list and start with a theme? Depending on the type of event – the sky is really the limit in terms of what a theme could be. In addition to serving as a guide to the entire planning process (in a good way, we promise), a theme will inherently transform a venue and truly create the WOW factor your guests are craving.

Recently, we had the opportunity to host M. Harris Studios Hustle in Heels conference. For a couple of days, our spaces were transformed by Bella Giornata Events and photographed by the amazing attendees. We’re excited to share the images (credit: Sarandipity Photography) and in turn, inspire some creativity for those in the thick of planning upcoming events.

Theme #1: Spring/Floral  |  Space: The Pavilion

It is truly amazing how florals can transform a space, and spark emotion. Elegant and light, this design truly embraces the feel of new beginnings, rebirth, and renewal.

Hot tip: Hire a designer that also handles the florals. Ultimately the design will be more cohesive and you will save on budget.

We love it for: Baby showers, bridal showers, spring weddings, high teas, garden parties, brunches, and luncheons.

Theme #2: Lavender Romance  | Space: The Pavilion

Elegant and romantic, this design truly shows the power of color and place settings. The antique colored glass (sometimes referred to as depression glass), pattern China, and textured flatware truly bring this tablescape to life. Combined with a bold hue of purple, and romantic rose-based floral arrangements, your guests will be instagramming every inch of this one.

Hot tip: Consider adding the element of colored glassware, it really ties the design together.

We love it for: Baby showers, bridal showers, high teas, brunches, and luncheons.

Theme #3: Tropical  |  Space: The Market

W-O-W. Pink flamingos, boho floor pillows, triangle photo backdrop, hanging rattan chairs, soft seating? This theme truly puts the fun in function. Set in our Market, an industrial-style garage, the design is perfect for a potential indoor-outdoor event, and truly shows how any space can be transformed by an intriguing design.

Hot tip: A variety of soft seating options will encourage your guests to mingle. Decor such as the neon lighting and photo backdrop will encourage photo ops and keep everyone entertained.

We love it for: Any kind of party such as a milestone birthday, private dining for conference groups (a perfect surprise after a long day of meetings)

Theme #4: Farm Dinner  |  Space: The Market

A great example of how contrasting elements work so well together, this farm-inspired design incorporates fresh vegetables into the floral arrangements. We love how the design could also be dressed up or down, depending upon the event. Plus, it works perfectly in the Market, again showing space versatility.

Hot tip: Steal this centerpiece idea for at-home functions! It’s a perfect toe-dip for DIY arrangements.

We love it for: Company picnics, farm-to-table dinners, family reunions

We hope these designs have provided some inspiration for planning your next event. Interested in hosting at Airlie? Contact our team to schedule a personal tour of our spaces. We look forward to hearing from you!
